Our youth group here at Champions is made up of teens, ages 7th - 12th grade.  Our hope is that our students are forever changed by God's grace.  We look to make this possible through various experiences through the school year and the summer.  From Bible studies, small groups, retreats, mission trips, service projects, and building personal relationships.  

We also try to have some fun along the way!  This is a group where all are welcomed and loved.

  • Summer Mission Work

    mission work

    We believe that serving those in need is a core understanding of God's mission for followers of Christ.  Because of that, the Champions Youth Group is committed to serving others through local mission trips.  In the Summer of 2019, we sent groups to McAllen, TX and Sunny Glenn Children's Home.

  • camp bandina

    Here at Champions, we kick off the summer with a full week at Camp Bandina, a Christian youth camp, with a number of other churches in Texas.  We spend a week learning abut God through classes, team building activities, and worship.  Camp is usually the first or second week of June.  Camp is located in Bandera, Texas.   

  • vacation bible school

    Vacation Bible School (VBS) is one of the best weeks of the summer!  Join us as we serve those younger than us.  This week is a wonderful opportunity for our students to grow in mentoring roles while having lots of fun!  VBS is usually the 3rd or 4th week in June and is located here at Champions Church of Christ.  We hope to see you there!

  • trek

    Trek is definitely one of the more adventurous trips we take.  While working with Team Ascend, we take our teens on a week-long hiking and camping trip to Colorado.  During this week, our teens are challenged to push themselves and experience God in His beautiful creation.  The trek allows our teens to take hold of a true mountaintop experience.    

  • Friday Night lights

    Friday Night Lights or FNL for short is always on the calendar. One to two Friday nights a month we get together and have some fun. We've played laser tag, kayaked, had movie nights, game nights at the building...who knows what's next?

  • end of summer trip (EOST)

    E.O.S.T., or End of Summer Trip, is how we like to close our amazing summers here at Champions.  The trip is a short 2 to 3 days overnight trip where we take time to think and pray over the summer, and consider all we have experienced.  

  • area wide retreat

    In November, the Champions' youth group joins a number of churches in the Houston area for a weekend of worship and devotion to God.  This is a wonderful weekend of unity between churches in the area coming together to grow closer to God.  

  • T3 commission

    Usually the second weekend of February is another favorite of ours here at Champions.  T3 is a challenging weekend full of well-prepared classes and lessons that our teens can choose between to experience during the weekend. 

  • Winter Retreat

    In January or Febraury we have our annual Winter Retreat.  These are overnight experiences where our youth grow closer as a family and to God. This year our Retreat is February 19th-21st. We would love for you to join us! 

  • camp hisway

    Cam HisWay is our spring retreat geared towards developing strong connections and relationships between the teens in our youth group.
